SatLab AGH designs and builds satellites. Their flagship project, HYPE, a cube measuring just 5×5×5 cm, is the smallest Polish satellite created entirely by students. The satellite featured a unique “selfie-stick” camera capturing images of graphics displayed on the satellite’s own screen. Through HYPE, the team aimed to inspire young people and promote space technologies.
We specialize in the design, development and operations of pico- and nanosatellites- addressing real engineering challenges in orbit.
We are currently developing 2U CubeSat "Puchacz" integrating spectral imaging payload and miniaturized laser downlink. Its main objective is to validate end-to-end optical communication from a nanosatellite- proving both hardware and operational flow in orbit.
Our flagship achievement is HYPE, a fully student-built PocketQube satellite, developed from the ground up in just one year. It features a selfie-stick payload utilized to capture the first selfie using a satellite in space.
