APTIV SERVICES POLAND S.A. in a consortium with AGH University of Krakow implements the project entitled: Multimedia controller with enhanced resilience of wireless communication interfacesnumber: FENG.01.01-IP.01-A17M/25 co-financing from European Funds priority FENG.01 Support for Entrepreneurs, European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027.
Development of a product innovation in the form of a modern multimedia controller for in-vehicle applications, combining state-of-the-art wireless communication interfaces that will enhance safety functions and raise their reliability to a level significantly higher than current market solutions.
The R&D work was divided into three tasks:
➡ research on the development of a prototype Multimedia Controller with guaranteed reliability of modern wireless communication interfaces (Task No. 1: Aptiv),
➡ research on the impact of satellite communication technologies on the reliability of modern wireless communication interfaces in the Multimedia Controller (Task No. 2: AGH),
➡ research on the impact of temperature, environmental factors, and device aging on the reliability of wireless communication interfaces (Task No. 3: Aptiv).
The project includes expenses for the remuneration of the research team, equipment depreciation, supplies (other than fixed assets), and indirect costs.

The main outcome of the ongoing research and development work will be the development of an innovative multimedia controller integrating state-of-the-art wireless communication interfaces. This solution will not only raise the level of safety and reliability of on-board systems beyond current market standards but also provide predictable resistance to growing electromagnetic threats occurring both inside and outside the vehicle. As a result, the project outcome will contribute to improved safety and comfort for drivers and passengers and address the challenges associated with the increasingly saturated electromagnetic environment in the automotive industry.
