Are you planning to pursue the Master’s degree in Space Technologies at AGH University of Krakow, but your academic background is not in engineering or technical sciences? Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.
Preparatory "Zero semester"
If you have completed a non-engineering bachelor’s degree and would like to continue your education in an engineering field, we offer a four-semester master's program with a preparatory "Zero Semester".
The Zero Semester is an additional semester of the second-cycle engineering program designed to help graduates of bachelor’s programs acquire the necessary engineering competencies. After completing the Zero Semester, students join newly admitted graduates of engineering programs and begin the standard three-semester Master of Science in Engineering studies in the selected field.
Important dates
- First recruitment cycle: June 23 – July 21, 2025
- Entrance exam: July 23, 2025
- Supplementary recruitment: September 1 – 10, 2025
- Entrance exam: September 12, 2025
Technical skills and knowledge
Over the course of one semester (October–February), you will gain a solid foundation in:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computer Programming
- Basic Engineering
International staff
All classes will be taught in English by experienced AGH academic staff, visiting professors and professionals from the space sector.
This mix of experienced teachers and space industry professionals means you’ll learn both the theory and how things work in practice. It’s a great way to prepare for real challenges in the space sector.
You’ll also get have the opportunity to learn how the global space industry works – and that can lead to internships, projects, and career opportunities across Europe and beyond.
Space Technlogies Master's Degree Program
After completing the bridging semester, you will continue your studies by choosing one of the three available specializations:
- Upstream: designing space technologies
- Upstream: analyzing and utylizing satellite data
- Biomedical: studying the impact of space on human health and life support technologies in space environments
