The 9th KGK Space Resources Conference – Interdisciplinary Frontiers in Space Resource Utilization will take place on 3–4 September 2026 in Kraków, Poland.
The event will be held primarily on-site, with selected contributions available online on demand.
As space exploration enters a new and dynamic phase, rapid technological progress across many disciplines is reshaping how humanity approaches the exploration and utilization of space resources. Addressing these challenges requires close cooperation between diverse scientific and engineering communities.
The Space Resources Conference provides an open and interdisciplinary forum for discussing state-of-the-art technologies, emerging concepts, and key challenges related to space exploration and the responsible use of extraterrestrial resources. A central goal of the conference is to promote sustainable approaches that support both the future of space activities and the protection of Earth’s environment.
The 2026 edition places a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together experts from engineering, planetary science, robotics, materials science, economics, and related fields. Participants will explore innovative pathways for space resource utilization, in-space manufacturing, and the development of future off-Earth infrastructure.
Building on the success of previous editions, the conference will once again host an international community of researchers, practitioners, and industry representatives. The program includes plenary and invited lectures, technical sessions, poster presentations, panel discussions, and industry-focused contributions. A range of social and cultural events will further support networking and knowledge exchange among participants.
