SUMMARY:Kraków Space Week
DESCRIPTION:19 May – Space Game Day\n\n🟦 Cosmic edition of the Grymaszenie
series with the game Outer Wilds\n\nTime: 18:00–20:00 Location: Building C-

e AGH and the Eduvrgamelab, we invite you to an event centered around Outer
Wilds. This exploratory game is set in a closed planetary system where eve
ry planet is a puzzle and every minute is a chance to discover the laws of
nature, gravity, and astronomical cycles. Sounds like a game? It’s actually
an interactive textbook of physics, astronomy, and philosophy in one.\n\nD
iscussion participants: – Dr. Szymon Kukulak (Eduvrgamelab) – Mikołaj Gąbka
(AstroBio Student Association, AGH) – Moderated by: Gerald Kapałka (Grozna

e?”\n\nTime: 13:00–14:00 Location: AGH Didactic Center, Building U-2, ul. R
eymonta 7 Is space just the domain of scientists and sci-fi writers? Or per
haps the real future of humanity? This debate will combine science and lite
rature perspectives in search of an answer to the question: why do we need
space? Organized in cooperation with the Polish Science Fiction Foundation.
\n\nParticipants: – Dr. Agata Rudolf – researcher at the AGH Faculty of Spa
ce Technology, expert in space biology and astrobiology – Tomasz Barciński
 – Board Member of the Polish Foundation for Science Fiction, Head of the Sa
tellite Mechatronics and Robotics Lab at CBK PAN – Istvan Vizvary – writer,
journalist, author of the award-winning novel Lagrange. Letters from Earth
  – Michał Kłodawski – lawyer, author of the novel God Zero One, literary co
mpetition laureate of PFFN\n\n\n\n21 May – Space City Day\n\n🟦 Space-themed
city game\n\nAGH UNIVERSEH Local Team invites you to a city game with a tw
ist: it’s set on Earth, but the participants are aliens trying to understan
 d human culture!\n\nTime: 15:30–18:00 Location: AGH Building D-3, Faculty o

Location: Kino Mikro, ul. Juliusza Lea 5 Tickets: https://kinomikro.pl/rep
ertoire/83277.html?view=system The film Gravity thrills with its visuals an
d tension – but how realistic is it? After the screening, join Dr. Paweł Ja
nowski (Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science, AGH) for a dynamic
presentation analyzing key scenes from the perspective of physics, astrono
my and common sense. Can you really jump between space stations by hand? Wh
at happens to a body in a vacuum? How do orbits work? Why is Sandra Bullock
spinning like that? And is there really “no gravity” in space? Afterwards,
feel free to stay for an informal Q&A – science and cinema have never been
so close!\n\n\n\n🟦 21–23 May – Space Resources Conference\n\n An internat
ional scientific conference with experts from around the world. More info:
spaceconf.org \n\n\n\nThe goal of Krakow Space Week is not only to educate
and promote science, but also to build the city’s modern identity as a pla
ce open to the future, innovation, and space exploration. Each edition brin
gs new formats and partnerships, creating a unique platform for all those w
